What is Ubuntu Open Week?
Ubuntu Open Week is a week of IRC tuition and Q+A sessions all about getting involved in the rock-and-roll world that is the Ubuntu community. We organise this week for the beginning of a new release cycle to help new contributors get involved.
When is Ubuntu Open Week?
Ubuntu Open Week for the Ubuntu 11.10 release will be held on October 17-21, 2011 from 1400 UTC to 1800 UTC.
Where does Ubuntu Open Week take place?
Online in the #ubuntu-classroom and #ubuntu-classroom-chat IRC Channels on irc.freenode.net.
#ubuntu-classroom is where the session leaders will present the information and #ubuntu-classroom-chat is where attendees are voiced to ask questions and chat as it relates the each session.

How can I participate in Ubuntu Open Week?
Using your favorite IRC client you can join #ubuntu-classroom and #ubuntu-classroom-chat or if you prefer to join using your browser you can click here.
#ubuntu-classroom is where the session leaders will present the information and #ubuntu-classroom-chat is where attendees are voiced to ask questions and chat as it relates the each session.
If you decide you want to ask a question just make sure you type type it into the #ubuntu-classroom-chat channel and remember to prefix your questions with “QUESTION:” to make them easier to spot and so the bot can pull them for the session leader to post in #ubuntu-classroom.
You can also contact the #ubuntu-classroom-backstage channel on IRC if you have any problems.
